Reporting to the Vice President Academic, the Dean will be responsible for leading a strong team of aviation professionals on the Aviation Campus which is devoted to training students in maintenance, avionics and helicopter flight. In this role, you will help forge the future development and expansion of aviation programs, facilities and industry partnerships. The Dean will also be responsible for introducing a new and innovative approach to the College business programs and the development of curriculum which reflects the needs of the community and the future success of students and the business community. Finally, the Dean will be responsible for the delivery of the General Arts and Science program and the development and delivery of effective, high quality liberal arts courses to students in all programs at the College to support their comprehensive learning experience at Canadore.

The ideal candidate for this unique role will bring a number of years of related aviation industry leadership and management experience along with a deep network of industry contacts. He\she will also have strong business management skills and acumen including managing people and budgets, operational planning and product development. Designed for individuals becoming or already employed as the Person Responsible for Maintenance Control, this one-day workshop provides participants with an understanding of the responsibilities of the Person Responsible for Maintenance Control Systems permitting individuals to remain compliant with regulatory requirements.

Human Factors Online Training

This online course, designed for all employees in the aviation and aerospace industry, meets the requirements of Canadian Aviation Regulations 537.06(3) and 723.28(4). Customization and in-class options are available upon request.

Introduction to the Audit Process

This two day workshop is intended for individuals managing or providing oversight of large segments of the business function of operators; and those likely to interact with auditors.
